Mental Wellbeing

If you are feeling distressed, in a state of despair, need urgent emotional support or are suicidal, and we are closed, then please contact one of the numbers below:

  • Breathing Space: 0800 83 85 87 
    Breathing Space staff are trained phone line advisors who will listen to you, and can connect you to organisations or groups in your area for ongoing support. The phone line is open Monday -Thursday 6pm – 2am and Friday 6pm until Monday 6am over the weekend.
  • NHS 24: 111 
    The phone line is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 
  • Emergency Ambulance: 999  
    If you are having serious thoughts of suicide and have a plan and the means to carry it out now, we would urge you to phone 999.
  • Samaritans: 116 123
    Your call will be confidential and taken by a trained volunteer. The phone line is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For textphones (for the deaf and hard of hearing) dial 08457 90 91 92.
